Subject: NWSA - call for papers - Virtual Gender
Sender: Women's Studies List <WMST-L@UMDD.UMD.EDU>

This is a call for papers for a session at the 2002 NWSA in Las Vegas:

Virtual Gender:
The intent of this session is to unravel how gender is reproduced in
cyberspace. Papers in this session may discuss the intersections between
masculinity, femininity and technology in the virtual world, identity
construction, the fluidity of gender in cyberspace (gender swapping) or
transgendering technology. Papers may also address how virtual
representations of gender
are either empowering or problematic to men and women.

Please send me:
Name, address, email
An abstract and/or copy of your paper
