"Remembering in Order to Forget" prezinta proiectul fotografic al
in profunzimea subsolurilor.

Miri Mor nu se cantoneaza in zona
unei simple si oarbe priviri nostalgice ci formuleaza mai precis pozitia
esentiala a beneficiilor acumularii si prezervarii unei astfel de
avalanse de informatii.

Miri Mor: artist fotograf autodidact
s-a lansat cu cÃÅiva ani Ãn urmÄ, reuÅind sÄ cÃÅtige premii importante
Ãn Israel (Fresh Paint 5, Ãn 2012). Ãn 2011 a reprezentat Israelul
ÃmpreunÄ cu Shachar Markus la Kunsthal Charlottenborg Museum din
Copenhaga, iar anul trecut a fost printre primii zece cÃÅtigÄtori ai
Sony World Photography 2012 la categoria "Naturi statice profesioniste".

In âRemembering in Order to Forgetâ, Miri Mor presents a photographic
installation containing a number of works from her âMonuments of
Remembranceâ series that is based on her desire to capture the nature of
a disappearing world, in this case of archives in one of Romaniaâs
national institutions. Mor has succeeded in penetrating this historical
institution, and with her camera to document the core of the cellars of
remembrance imprisoned there.

Mor does not cling to the
blindness of a nostalgic gaze, but she formulates a position that raises
essential questions on the benefits of accumulating and preserving
mountains of information.

The exhibition âRemembering in Order to Forgetâ was presented in January 2013 at the Zaritsky Artists House in Tel Aviv, Israel

Autodidact photographer Miri Mor (b. 1971) has exhibited in several
exhibitions in Israel, including the âFresh Paint 5â art fair, 2012. In
2011 she exhibited at Copenhagenâs Kunsthal Charlottenborg Museum Spring
Exhibition, and was ranked in the top ten among the Sony World
Photography Award winners for 2012 in the Professional Still Life
category.
