Upcoming STEIM events

REAR EAR is a new event designed by the young
squad of STEIM; interns and master students from
the Institute of Sonology.

They are setting up an evening full of different
types of performances, from live electronics using
self-built instruments to free improvisation and
immersive visual listening experiences.

It will be a night full of surprising and exotic
visions and sonorities by a new generation of
artist and performers from all over the world.

Analog modular synthesizers: ‘East-coast
meets West-coast‘

After the Analog Modular Synthesizer workshop
(http://steim.org/event/aed-2018-steim-workshop-2/)
in the afternoon, Frank Baldé & Alex
Brajkovic, Sybren Danz and Zeger de Vos wil go
back-to-back in a concert evening called
East-coast meets West-coast.

In this jam session analog synthesists de Vos,
Baldé & Brajkovic and Danz will be patching
waves, drones, rhythms and patterns on stage and
create both timbral, melodic and beat sound
scapes, all based upon old and new analog (semi)
modular synthesizer systems.
