[Nettime-nl] LabforCulture book launch: Cultural Bloggers Interviewed

LabforCulture book launch:
Cultural Bloggers Interviewed
13th September 2010

LabforCulture would love you to come and celebrate the launch of their new book, Cultural Bloggers Interviewed. This collection of insightful interviews explores the role of blogging in the cultural sector – and will be unveiled during Picnic on Wednesday, 22 September at 5.30pm at WesterLiefde, Westergasfabriek, Amsterdam.

LabforCulture's latest book features a series of interviews by Austrian-born producer and researcher, Annette Wolfsberger with nine renowned bloggers from across Europe: including Anne Helmond, Robert Misik, Alek Tarkowski, Marta Peirano and José de Vicente, Alessandro Ludovico and Régine de Batty.

With a thought-provoking introduction about the role of blogs by Guardian journalist and blogger Mercedes Bunz, this publication is a must for anyone considering the future role of cultural bloggers and online publishing.

The launch kicks off with an introduction by Katherine Watson, Director of LabforCulture and European Cultural Foundation. This will be followed by a short Q&A session with Annette Wolfsberger, who was the joint editor of Cultural Bloggers Interviewed. She will be talking to Michelle Kasprzak, one of the nine cultural bloggers featured in LabforCulture's latest book.

The event will take place directly after the first of a three-part series of discussions put together by Culturalmondo/Picnic, starting off with a focus on new journalism and cultural criticism.

We look forward to seeing you at the launch on 22 September at 5.30pm. Please let us know whether you can join us by emailing Nicola Mullenger – nicola@labforculture.org – before 17 September – email confirmation is necessary to ensure entrance.
