   really? or is that just corporate social media ideology? I have heard
   this claim for years and have yet to experience one "young'un" who does
   not email when interested in the communication, even if this is not
   their "choice" medium.

   And, the problem with Facebook (et al) should not be reduced to liberal
   notions of "privacy",
   but to the question of Facebook's hand in the extension of "platform
   capitalism," and whether you want your intellectual labour to support,
   however limited, this logic?

   In all seriousness, is it really a bad idea to look at engaging on
   channels other than email?  The young�s don�email.  Facebook over
   SSL would arguably offer more privacy compared to email.  I can�   imagine what Nettime would look like on Snapchat but I also don�   necessarily think it�a bad idea to consider how Nettime�comms
   footprint could evolve.
