The problem with this sort of verse is that it is all sentiment and not 
content, no deeper probing into the viscera and issue of what is at stake. 
So whatever meaning it has, and there is the denotative sense available to 
all, is lost in the flood of denotation and daily disuse of nouns and 
adjectives whose signifiance has been deadened and abused to cliché. This is 
a malaise which has a remedy and that is language poetry and its 
reformulations of the territory of linguisitic alienation. one sees this 
sort of verse again and again, and sadly as soon read as soon forgot
