Le Mapping Festival célèbre cette année sa 10ème édition, du 22 mai au 1er juin 2014.
Après son succès en 2013, la formule distinguant les workshops professionnels des événements destinés au public est naturellement reconduite. Articulés autour de thématiques et d’explorations technologiques diverses, animés par des intervenants internationaux, spécialistes réputés dans leurs domaines respectifs, les six workshops seront répartis sur les deux semaines du festival.

NY MAPPATHON (du 28 au 30 mai)â
Animé par CHiKA (US) en collaboration avec Anton Marini (US), Tom Butterworth (UK) et David Lubin (US). Un workshop basé sur l’apprentissage du mapping vidéo, avec pour objectif la création collective d’une installation spécialement adaptée à son environnement.

MAPPING 2.0 (du 24 au 28 mai)â
Animé par Mike Latona (BE). S’adresse aux artistes vidéo désirant approfondir leurs notions des logiciels courants de mapping vidéo, de création d’images et de montage d’installations permanentes.

Animé par Laurent Novac (CH). Une exploration dans le domaine de l’art génératif et dans l’utilisation de principes physiques pour la génération d’objets à la fois "invraisemblables" et "naturels".

3D LED FASHION (du 26 au 29 mai)â
Animé par les créateurs de MadMapper, Boris Edelstein (CH) & François Wunschel (FR). Pendant quatre jours, cet atelier offrira une gamme complète d'applications pratiques sur le mapping de LED et vidéo avec MadMapper, un logiciel créé par GarageCube et 1024 architecture. Voir le teaser!

Animé par Adrien Boulanger (FR), Pierre Turlotte (FR) & Rochel Mancip (FR). Ce workshop propose la mise en place d’une scénographie dans le club genevois le Zoo, en parcourant toutes les étapes, de la conception à l’exploitation en passant par le montage.

CinéGlobe est un festival international de courts métrages qui se déroule tous les deux ans au CERN, dans le Globe de la Science et de l’Innovation. Parvenu à sa quatrième édition, cet événement est en passe de devenir l’un des plus importants au monde mêlant les thèmes de la science et de la technologie.
Le Mapping Festival est heureux de collaborer avec CinéGlobe. Nous y dévoilerons le 21 mars une sélection de courts métrages réalisés durant nos précédentes éditions, panorama d’interventions parmi les plus mémorables et portraits d’artistes emblématiques du genre.
Au terme de la projection, le collectif CENC présentera Disorder, une performance à l’image des propositions transdisciplinaires initiées et soutenues par le festival, entremêlant les univers de la danse, du son et de la vidéo générative.
Le public découvrira également lors de cette soirée une installation LED, spécialement réalisée pour l’occasion par Boris Edelstein, qui ornera les coursives du globe.

CinéGlobe is an international short film festival that takes place every two years at CERN, in the Science and Innovation Globe. Now in its fourth edition, it is quickly becoming one of the most important event in the world mixing science and technology.
The Mapping Festival is happy to collaborate with CinéGlobe. On March 21st, we will disclose a selection of short films produced during our previous editions, panoramas of performances among the most memorable and portraits of iconic artists of the genre.
At the end of the screening, the CENC collective will present Disorder, a performance similar to the multidisciplinary proposals initiated and supported by the festival, weaving the worlds of dance, sound and generative video.
The public will also discover during the evening a LED installation, especially built for the occasion by Boris Edelstein, which will adorn the corridors of the globe.
