Re: <nettime> Low-key nettime-l meetup in Naarm Melbourne, Australia

Hi Paul -

I am interested. I will in Melbourne on Thursday teaching at RMIT ... So this could possible work if it is close to the CBD. I wouldn't be able to stay too long due parenting commitments though ...

Cheers,
jan

Hi,

I've been thinking for a while i should try organise something like this, and i figure there's no time like the present. Indeed there's no substitute for those real human connections.

I know a few nettimers live in or near Naarm/Melbourne, and so, if anyone feels like joining me, let's have a catchup ("IRL", i mean - i'm not big on technology-mediated socialising, which may or may not be a bit ironic).

My suggestion:

* Early evening of Thu 8/Feb, e.g. 18:00 (that's about 2 weeks away - the scientifically-determined optimal interval to have the least amount of flakes),

* i'll pick a quiet venue somewhere in the city (close to public transport),

* that's it! Let's see who turns up!

If you're interested, send me an email and i can provide my contact information and keep you abreast of practicalities.

All the best,
p.
