Dear friends,

I was travelling, which is why I am responding only now. After the
mail-flood from the 'school of sound' last week, I got several messages
saying things like:

>no more epesound please

>got the epesound message 11 times, 10 of them partial, and finally crashed
>my system.

I still don't know what happened, and there was no apology from the people
who posted the multi-messages. The reason that it could happen is based on
the fact that the syndicate is an open, unmoderated mailing list, so
anything that anybody posts to the address is sent to all subscribers
immediately. So we had no control over what was happening.

As something like this happens very rarely, I suggest that we keep the list
open. We can always change this and 'protect' the list from spamming if
this becomes necessary.

An important advice, though, is that you should preferably not suggest the
list address for advertising to people who are not subscribed; you can
better ask them to send the messages to you, and then you forward them to
the list. I think that the epesound people would have been more careful if
they had been on the list themselves.

Best wishes, and keep the lines open ;-)
