I n t e r n a t i o n a l  V i d e o  A r t C o m p e t i t i o n

--------------------------------------------
The selection committee has finished their work.
The selection is done.
4 4  w o r k s have been selected out of over 600
 received from all over the world.
The competition screenings will be in four programmes
about 2 hours each, displayed on M a y 1st (programme 1 and 2)
and M a y 2nd (programme 3 and 4).

Screening of the awarded works - M a y 3rd.

All screenings will take place in the Swiebodzki Theatre Hall.

They will be estimated by the i n t e r n a t i o n a l   j u r y
whose members are as follows:

Film and Video Department, The Museum of Modern Art, New York;

G o t t f r i e d  H a t t i n g e r (Austria)
independent curator, programme director of the Ars Electronica
Festival in the years 1990-1991, the author of numerous exhibitions
(among others Obiekt: Video, Landesmuseum OÃ? in  Linz);

R y s z a r d  W. K l u s z c z y n s k i (Poland)
curator at the Film / Video Department of The Contemporary Art Centre
- Ujazdowski Castle, Warsaw, lecturer at Lodz University;

M u n t a d a s (Spain /USA)
multidisciplinary artist at the crossroads of art, the social sciences and the
media, dealing with installations, films and video works using a critical
approach
to modern-day cultural phenomena;

T a m a s  W a l i c z k y (Hungary)
prominent video and computer animation creator, since the beginning of the 90's
associated with The Visual Media Institute of the ZKM, Karlsruhe, Germany;
