Syndicate: explanation=justification

It's an observation over the artistic form of the message used nowadays.

I've noticed  that every time an artist has to submit a work on line, 
has to write the statement to explain what the work is about. A work 
of art should give no explication otherwise stops its form of visual 
art and becomes a philosophical issue. Nothing wrong about it, but it 
's not a work of visual art anymore.

The search of new linguistic patterns have gone back to the 
fashionable esthetic of the uncomprensibility of the text, very 
fashionable in theatre and films of the Seventies.

But later as well intellectuals would persue this road:
In early Ninenties J.J. Godard used to make quatations on a shoot 
that seemed mostly a riddle understandable only by him and the person 
previously informed.
On a shoot of a woman walking barefoot, he would  quotate " The 
barefoot contessa" by Joseph Manckiewitz , film que la Nouvelle Vague 
adorait, he said.
But nobody else would understand it. Not even Mankiewitz if still alive.
