Carusel la evenimentul de lansare a catalogului de artÄ George Anghelescu
Dulce et Decorum.
Albumul, publicat deEditura Vellant, reprezintÄ o selecÅie subiectivÄ de
lucrÄri realizate de George Anghelescu Ãn primii ani de activitate, dupÄ
terminarea facultÄÅii. BucureÅtean, Anghelescu este reprezentativ pentru
noul val de picturÄ ârealist-capitalistÄâ a momentului, unul dintre
artiÅtii care aduce consistenÅÄ Åi personalitate acestui mediu de exprimare
vizualÄ. Albumul este o reflecÅie poeticÄ, personalÄ, asupra formÄrii,
afirmÄrii Åi evoluÅiei unui pictor tÃnÄr, contemporan. ReuneÅte texte
semnate de Valentina Iancu Åi Dan Popescu, precum Åi un interviu al Andreei
Cazan (The Re:Art) cu artistul.
Lansarea va avea loc Ãn cadrul expoziÈiei personale a lui George
Anghelescu, âEfecte Colateraleâ â expoziÈie organizatÄ de Aiurart Èi H'art
Gallery, curator: Silviu PÄdurariu, Unrest/Bucharest.

Tuesday, 24th of November, from 7 pm, we invite you at CÄrtureÅti Carusel
to take part at the launching event of Dulce et Decorum art catalogue.
It presents a subjective selection of works created by George Anghelescu in
the first years of activity, following his graduation from university. A
native of Bucharest, Anghelescu is representative for the new wave of
ârealist-capitalistâ painting ongoing today, heâs one of the artists who
brings consistency and personality to this medium of visual expression. The
album is a poetic and personal reflection, on the formative process, the
affirmation and evolution of a young contemporary painter. It brings
together texts signed by Valentina Iancu and Dan Popescu, as well as an
interview with the artist by Andreea Cazan.
The event will take place in the context of George Anghelescuâs solo show,
âCollateral Effectsâ â an exhibition organized by Aiurart and H'art
Gallery, curator: Silviu PÄdurariu, Unrest/Bucharest.
