Universitatea de Arte âGeorge Enescuâ din Iasi Âva invita Joi, 31 Martie 2011, 
ora 16.00, sa participati la conferinta:
âBIOPOLITICS, NECROPOLITICS, DECOLONIALITYâ 
sustinuta deMARINA GRZINIC (Viena/Ljubljana).
Conferinta va avea loc la sala I.D. Stefanescuâ a Facultatii de Arte Plastice, 
Decorative si Design, Corp A (Str. Sarariei, no. 189). 

Marina Grzinic este filosof, artist si teoretician. Este profesor la Academia de 
Arte Plastice din Viena si cercetator principal la Institutul de Filozofie al 
ZRC SAZU (Centrul de Cercetare Stiintifica al Academiei Slovene de Stiinte si 
Arte) in Ljubljana. Lucreaza de asemenea ca teoretician media, critic de arta si 
curator independent. Ultimele sale publicatii includ Re-Politicizing Art, 
Theory, Representation and New Media Technology(The Academy of Fine Arts, Vienna 
and SchlebrÃgge Editor, Vienna), 2008, Situated Contemporary Art Practices, Art, 
Theory andActivism from (the East of) Europe (ZRC SAZU, Ljubljana and Revolver, 
Frankfurt am Main), 2004 and Fiction Reconstructed: Eastern Europe, 
Post-Socialism and the Retro-Avant-Garde (Edition Selene in collaboration with 
Springerin, Vienna), 2000.

The conference will take place in the âI.D. Stefanescuâ hall of the Faculty of

Marina Grzinic is philosopher, artist and theoretician. She is Professor at the 
Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna, and senior researcher at the Institute of 
Philosophy at the ZRC SAZU (Scientific and Research Center of the Slovenian 
Academy of Science and Art) in Ljubljana. She also works as freelance media 
theorist, art critic and curator. Her latest books includeRe-Politicizing Art, 
Theory, Representation and New Media Technology (The Academy of Fine Arts, 
Vienna and SchlebrÃgge Editor, Vienna), 2008, Situated Contemporary Art 
Practices, Art, Theory andActivism from (the East of) Europe, (ZRC SAZU,
