BARCELONA LOOP'00: 
THE FIRST FAIR SPECIALISED IN VIDEO ART IS BORN

>From the 27th to the 30th of November, Barcelona will host the first art fair 
in the world dedicated exclusively to video art. The event, named Loop'00 
(http://www.artbarcelona.es), was created with the objective to convert it in a 
fair of reference for the video creation medium, to expand a platform for 
debate and reflexion for the different agents of the art system linked to this 
medium: artists and galerists, students and professors, curators and critics.
"Our objective is for Loop to become an unavoidable event for all the 
enthusiastics of video" explains Pere Soldevila, owner of the Gallery Metropolitana 
and director of the first edition of Loop. The fair is a follow-up of the fair 
New Art Barcelona, an art display inspired in the Gramercy Park Hotel Art Fair 
of New York, and takes place in the hotel rooms of Barceló Hotel Sants. (...)
