Dear artists and curators,

 

As a result of many current inquiries, the submission deadline for Billboart
Gallery Europe proposals has been extended from August 25 to August 30. We
are also very sorry for the short submission period. 

 

We would like to kindly inform you that the international project Billboart
Gallery Europe is going to start out by opening of the billboard galleries
held in the exposed areas of Bratislava, Budapest, Prague, Vienna, and
Warsaw at 22nd October 2003. Selected artistic projects will circulate
between the cities in total duration approximately four months.      For
that purpose Billboart Gallery Europe invites you to participation in this
project. 

 

Billboart Gallery Europe is calling for project proposals for realization on
billboards presented within the pilot exhibition mentioned above. The
project proposals must be sent to us until August 30, 2003 in digital
version [jpeg] not exceed 500kb. We are open for any topic of artwork;
important is only focus on billboard medium itself. 

 

After the deadline we will run competition selection based on voting
procedure. Specialists from 12 countries - members of Professional Council
of Billboart Gallery Europe [Gabor Bakos/Hungary, Matei Bejenaru/Romania,
Juraj Carny/Slovakia, Richard Fajnor/Czech Republic, Silva Kalcic/Croatia,
Eva Khachatryan/Armenia, Mira Keratova/Slovakia, Michal Kolecek/Czech
Republic, Mariusz Libel/Poland, Anna Soucek/Austria, Ana
Nikitovic/Yugoslavia, Tea Paichadze/Georgia, Krysztof Sidorek/Poland, Eva
Vadasz/Hungary, Olga Zhuk/Ukraine] will select 20 projects which will be
printed on billboards and presented within the exhibition in Bratislava,
Budapest, Prague, Vienna, and Warsaw. 

 

There will be available the catalogue of the pilot exhibition of Billboart
Gallery Europe as well as done the international PR to that event. You can

concerning the project. Please forward the information to any relevant
artists or curators who might be interested in participation.
