CALL FOR PARTICIPATION

“Dreamcatcher”, International Video Art and Short Films Festival announces call for participation in its 4^th year competition program.

The festival aims to broaden the traditional parameters of film and video and to generate active and critical artistic environment, in which different technologies, genres, media and cultural groups can meet. It is organized by Artistic Investment, a newly created art organization, in partnership with Center for Contemporary Art, Kyiv.

We invite artists, film directors, videomakers, students, amateurs and everyone interested to send new works or that, which were not widely shown to participate at Dreamcatcher – 2001, which will take place on June 1-3, 2001. Deadline for submissions is April 1^st, 2001. Participants will be notified about results of selection by May 15^th, 2001. Please send applications and videos to:

The competition of Dreamcatcher-2001 is open to all formats (VHS, SVHS, Betacam, 16mm, 35 mm, DV) in nominations “video” and “short film”. If possible, please send preview VHS tape. We also can preview your work in Qucktime on the Internet.

The program will also incorporate series of non-competitive presentations – retrospectives, screenings, multimedia exhibition, performances and symposia.
