David Rimmer (1942) is een van de meest productieve avant-garde
filmmakers uit Canada. Op deze avond is hij te gast bij WORM en
zal hij praten over zijn werk en een brede collectie van zijn
films vertonen. Achteraf is er de mogelijkheid voor een Q&A.

David Rimmer wordt erkend als een van de belangrijkste
experimentele filmmakers van nu. Rimmer heeft meer dan 50
films geproduceerd, variërend van puur experimentele vormen,
documentaires, hand geschilderde animaties, én meeslepende dans
en muziek video's. Zijn werk is op vele prestigieuze festivals
over de hele wereld vertoond en staat ook in permanente collecties
musea waaronder het Museum of Modern art in New York.

We are delighted to announce an evening with David Rimmer - he
will be giving a talk about his work and showing a broad selection
of his his films and videos.

David Rimmer is recognised as one of the most important
experimental filmmakers working today. Recipient of the Canadian
Governor General’s Award in 2011, Rimmer has produced over 50
films ranging from purely experimental forms, documentary, hand-
painted animation as well as a number of immersive dance and music
videos. His work has been screened at many prestigious festivals
around the world, and is held in the permanent collections of the
Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Centre George Pompidou in
Paris, the National Gallery of Canada and many more.
