The remark was paradoxical, and certainly the 5star explosion has instilled
fear in the traditional elites, but this president and berlusconi in gov't
i don't see much chance for basic income (it would have been quite
different with a centerleft+5star gov't - in fact precarious' associations
were poised to discuss a basic income law of popular initiative with
parliamentary committees, but now..). Yesterday's local elections in Friuli
(Trieste and Udine's region, extremely hit by the crisis) showed that
Grillo halved his votes since the general elections, as barely 50% voted.
The sense here is that the tide is no longer with him, but of course i
could be wrong.
