The cost of having two different versions to keep track of, order, manage 
is higher than the cost of having single-voltage vs. multi-voltage power 
supply - switching supplies are 'naturally' multi-voltage. To illustrate, 
take a look at rock-bottom priced vanilla desktop power supplies - they 
are all dual voltage.
