The futility of security points to a need for prevention.  Humans and 
their systems are fallible.

The nation state vs. the "terroristic" is a simplistic tool for the 
political.

The tolerance of cultural understanding, non-violent conflict 
resolution and intervention, diplomacy, etc., seem to more about a 
culture of human relations and negotiation and less about technology 
and industry.  Perhaps we could critique our position in a global 
system of privilege.  The direction we are moving is more about symptom 
management than cause and effect...  and some stand to gain a lot here.
