There had been similar rumors for website authors not members of the
official journalists organisation in italy.

The best way to stop this is to bring this organisation to the European
Court for Human Rights. Because it is an unreasonable limitation of the
freedom of expression, not covered by the needs of a democratic society.

Something like that. Looks easy. But costs money and will last its time.

More than 20.000 people adhered to the petition launched by an online
Italian tech-magazine against the liberticide press law approved by
the Italian Parliament.

1.600 sites are now affiliated with the protest.

The professional journalists of one of them (http://www.vita.it)
declared that they're available in taking responsability for hundred
other web sites' content, until the law will be deleted.

A design site (http://www.dollydesign.com/sc/) published the first
'clandestine press' ('stampa clandestina') banner.

In the meantime the first public interrogation to the European
Parlament about this law has been asked by the green member Bart
Staes.
