Cécile Martin will present the photographic series « PANORAMA_10-5 »

Through the photographic series « Panorama », Cécile Martin records and
explores the relation that any individual holds with the space he inhabits.
Beyond the representation of a space following the rules of perspective and
of the gaze wandering within, the systematic recording at 360 degrees makes
perceptible within a single image the bodily relationship of a being to an
environment in its totality, with all elements that surround him. Beyond the
power of the look, these images give substance to a phenomenological
relationship of scale, distance, physical presence to the world.
« Panorama » translates the perception of the world at every second of a
mobile being, permanently immersed within the world, the perception of it
which he accumulates and renews without end.

For more than seven years Cécile Martin has pursued the « Panorama »
photographic project. 
Both as artist and curator, she has participated to different exhibitions in
France and Canada, given conferences and participated to dozens of juries in
Europe, North and South America and Oceania.
She is furthermore trained as an architect (DPLG, M Arch), has taught at the
DESS in Event Design of the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) and
assumes the General and artistic direction of the nomadic organization Champ
Libre. This latter is the organizer of the Manifestation Internationale, a
site specific biennale presenting interventions in public spaces in
Montreal, as well as internationally at the meeting between new media arts

Cécile Martin présentera la série photographique « PANORAMA_10-5 »

À travers la série photographique « Panorama », Cécile Martin enregistre et
explore le rapport que tout individu entretien avec l?espace qu?il habite.
Au-delà de la représentation d?un espace suivant les lois de la perspective
et du regard y errant, l?enregistrement systématisé à 360 degrés rend
perceptible en une seule image le rapport corporel d?un être à un
environnement dans sa totalité, à tous les éléments qui l?entourent. Par
delà le pouvoir du regard, ces images rendent palpable un rapport
phénoménologique d?échelle, d?éloignement, de présence physique au monde.
« Panorama » traduit la perception du monde à tout instant d?un être mobile,
immergé en permanence au monde, dont il accumule et renouvelle sans fin la
perception.

Depuis plus de sept ans Cécile Martin poursuit le projet photographique «
Panorama ». 
En tant que commissaire et artiste, elle a participé à différentes
expositions en France et au Canada, donné des conférences et participé à des
dizaines de jurys en Europe, Amérique du Nord et du Sud ainsi qu'en Océanie.

Elle est par ailleurs architecte de formation (DPLG, M Arch), a enseigné au
DESS en Design d?Événement de l?Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) et
assume la Direction générale et artistique de l'organisme nomade Champ
Libre. Ce dernier est organisateur de la Manifestation Internationale,
biennale in situ présentant des interventions dans l'espace public à
Montréal, ainsi qu'à l'international à la rencontre des arts médiatiques et
