Title:  Fred Signac

- English version below -

The 2nd festival "La Nuit de l’Auteur" (Author’s night)
Sunday 8th and Monday 9th of April 2001
Organized by the association Dinosaurs
On the barge "Peniche Six-Huit" - Quai Malaquais (M° Louvre ou Pont Neuf)
20h30 - 50 F (per night)

The organizers : Christophe Jouanno, Laure Menage and Pascale Jeanne Morisseau.

Chronological account : the 1st festival Trait d'union (The link - 23rd of January 98), the 1st Festival "La Nuit de l'Auteur (20th of September 98), Les Quatre Jeudis (The four Thursdays, from January to April 1999), the 1st Festival J'ai Envie (I want to - 17th and 18th of December 99).

Dinosaurs renews its will to bring together and present young artists from the pop folk French independent scene. A certain perspective, a spirit of friendship and warmth are here to serve music and songs.

Dinosaurs, group of artists, once more makes us want to discover and take pleasure in the diversity of young songwriters which it presents acoustically and in a small formation for four songs. A beautiful challenge close to the US' Writer's nights. A must to defend for the rarity and the intensity aroused by such a gathering : the joy of meeting up.

The festival's program :

(Subject to modifications)

Sunday 8th of April 2001 :

Ariane :
Ariane's music is made of two threads : time and space. A song, and if that was happiness ?

Matthieu Malon :
Pop-electro french songs. First record "Froids" (Le Village Vert / Wagram) -
http://www.matthieumalon.fr.st

Mon Oncle :
Mon Oncle, the pop-rock band, is nowadays reduced to Pierre, the singer-guitarist, and his loyal beat machine. Mon Oncle is amused by the fact that people find his songs (inspired by Lloyd Cole, Eels ...) amusing when they're all but.

Eric Signor :
Poetic, ethylic, erotic, mystic, with plenty of waves ...

Fred Signac :
A universe in which the words agree with the rhythm of acoustic ballads. Little folk-rock gems played in the French way, all in gentleness and respiration. Backed up by Christophe Jouanno, instigator of the record "Le liquide Allume".

John Home :
A mysterious band, John Home. This rock trio, in which no one wants to do the washing up, delivers an intimate and intense pop-music (that'll make you happy until death takes you) with songs made at home and which make a home.

Deziel :

In the midst of the new regenerated and inventive French scene, Deziel invents a slow and languorous soft rock. A songwriting conciliating the Anglo-Saxon know-how and the French appropriateness.

Monday 9th of April 2001 :

Lorca :
In the shade of cajoling trees, the breeze is cool : Lorca dives in for her first show.

Enslune :
[ãslyn] n : The moon's perfect position, scientifically and aesthetically speaking, in a five dimensional space (space, time and enchantment). Pop : a poetic, minimalistic, musical entity, melancholic by nature but getting treated.
http://www.multimania.com/enslune

Polyanna :
Alone with her guitar, John's singer gives free rein to her folk inspirations. Already noticed during Dinosaurs' previous events, she comes back mature, after a collaboration with Dominique A. and Françoiz Breut.

Julien Ribot :
In order to know what his songs are about, you simply have to crack this message : c,:DIONdfdkjksj kj flsFIORIdkj ljlk BURBRUELRUsl, ljjkdsdMYLENEsd or to come to this gig (a record is offered to he/she who'll discover the enigma)
http://www.l3dlp.com/bojuju

Verone :
"Atmospheric and bare folk music consisting mainly of cinematographic-inspired slow songs between Palace and Jean-Louis Murat". (Aden)

Pascale Jeanne Morisseau :
When PJ sings, its so strange and emotional that it goes right into you. Jouanno and Signor who accompany her are so delicate that they are like the two wings of the white dove. And off we fly !

http://www.wikzik.com/www.wikzik.com/iledefrance/artistes/pjmorisseau

Jean-Paul Effe :
Pop-folk trio, psycho-acoustic serenade between pink moon and dark side.
