Art Graduate Student
4th Beginning at 11:00
Building NYU University
34 Stuyvecant Street Between 2nd and 3rd Ave.
Studio Art students have unique educational needs and concerns, this conference
gives studio art graduate students the opportunity to discuss
art education with other students from the region. Several
schools through out the region are participating, including Parsons, Purchase,
Hartford, University of Connectcut, NYU, Virginia Commonwealth, and others.
This event is open to all Graduate Studio Students and is free
The conference will begin with a key note address by Robert Storr, curator
of MOMA. The Grad Students will then break up into groups and discuss various
educational topics amongst themselves. Afterwards the students will report
there ideas back to a general assembly . A reception will be held following
the conference. Faculty and administrators are welcome to attend the lecture
by Robert Storr and are encouraged to attend the closing session of the
conference (3:30) in the Auditorium. All other events are restricted
to graduate students.
Schedule for May 4th
11:00 Introduction by student
11:10 Keynote speaker Robert Storr
12:00 Students Break up into groups to discuss topics
2:00 Break for lunch
3:30 Reconvene in the auditorium to hear from each
5:00 Reception and slide show. So bring slides
