About PROTOS
Don't forget that this Thursday marks the beginning of AMODA's inaugural Digital Art and Prototyping Festival! This ambitious event will feature a diverse array of artists and musicians oer4 days and 4 nights of a diverse programming. It represents the first event of its kind in Texas, and is a landmark occasion in AMODAâs 16 year history as a nonprofit organization. All programming will take place at the Long Center in the Rollins Theatre. AMODA will make maximum use of this theater space to present a selection of performances and artists that would be impossible to execute otherwise.
Daytime Events
During the day, PROTOS will feature presentations, workshops, makeathons, film screenings, and speaker panels. These daytime events will be focused on a range of innovative and culturally relevant topics such as digital art, urban prototyping, motion graphics, video games, public works, visual design, and sound. Nightly Showcases
During each evening of the festival, PROTOS will feature cutting-edge digital art, experimental electronic music, live audio/visual performances, and interactive dance performances from a range of local and international artists. Attendees may purchase tickets for individual nights or a festival pass that provides admission to the entire program. For the full schedule, click the button below.

Volunteer Opportunities
Interested in helping at PROTOS? AMODA has open positions in all areas of the festival. Come contribute to the art + tech magic-making firsthand. Help out & gain free or discounted admission to 1 or more events, plus a once in a lifetime experience with one of Austin's longest running nonprofit digital arts organizations. We are looking for assistance in the following areas before, during & after the festival (in order of priority). Experience is preferred, though not necessary:
  • PRODUCTION - Audio / Visual Setup & Teardown
  • PRODUCTION - Stage Crew
  • PRODUCTION - Film Crew
  • PR & MARKETING - Street Team, Media, Marketing
  • DEVELOPMENT - Fundraising Team
  • MEDIA - Event Photo, Video, Writing/Editing, & Media Managers
  • DESIGN - Event Materials / Website / Branding
