The Department of Communication Arts at Marymount Manhattan College invites applications for the following faculty positions beginning Fall 2007 pending budget approval.

Assistant Professor of Communication Arts: Digital Multimedia

Description: The Department of Communication Arts seeks a Digital Multimedia specialist for the Theresa Lang Center for Producing.

Requirements: The Department of Communication Arts seeks a Digital Multimedia specialist for the Theresa Lang Center for Producing. Responsibilities include teaching the two-tier multimedia sequence, courses on professional multimedia producing and Advanced Web Production. In-depth knowledge of industry standard software as well as digital media theory and production required. Additional strength in one or more of the following areas highly desirable: non-Western cultures' employment of digital media; media theory; aesthetics of film and video; social impact and accessibility; industrial models of digital production and distribution. Candidate must have a Ph.D., MFA or MPS; a commitment to the liberal arts; demonstrated college-level teaching effectiveness; and, an engagement with scholarly research and/or creative activities
